indood: finermac: The new icon for Snow Leopard’s Energy Saver System Preferences pane is, well, saving energy now that it’s a CFL bulb. It’s funny to me that someone would notice this. But even funnier is that someone changed this icon so as to MEAN “energy saving.” I like Apple’s attention to detail and all, but this seems… um… excessive. Here’s to hoping the mouse icon changes soon when the mighty mouse stops sucking. The CFL bulb was also in Leopard on my unibody MacBook so this is not a Snow Leopard thing, what might be a SL thing though is that it is now on all Macs, not just some when they ran Leopard. p.s. Maybe they had to change it to please the EU because it’s now forbidden to sell the old style bulbs here :)
