Don Kenn’s monsters

These are drawings of monsters on post-it notes by Don Kenn and I quite like them. There are more here on his blog.

This is a REAL picture from the set…Heath Ledger was apparently a skateboarder.

That’s pretty bad-ass

American Drink: Simple syrup math -

See these pretty bottles of simple syrup? They were recently spotted at a Southern California coffee joint, selling for $7 apiece. That’s criminal.

You can buy the fanciest, organic, angel-kissed whole cane sugar for 18 cents per ounce and turn into simple syrup in less time than it takes…

Nice recipes to make syrup, and dead simple too. Will have to make some syrup before the weekend, that’s for sure.

Photographer’s comments:
“This came from one of my favorite nights in Iceland! This was shot around 2 AM, right when I started feeling loopy.
I was on the edge of some precipitous volcanic rock, and there was a waterfall behind me. It fed this little area of rapids that emptied out into one of the fjords. There had been a light rain for a few hours, but the setting sun cut underneath the clouds to unleash some godly colors.”The Solstice, Iceland by Trey Ratcliff
